GetResponse - Get Response Manual / Campaigns / Campaign Settings / General

Return To User Guide Index General

If you wish to edit your campaign's "General" settings please go to >> Campaigns >> Campaign Settings >> choose a campaign from your campaign list >> click "General".

You can easily switch to a different campaign by using the drop-down box on the right.

Here is what can be found on your "General" site:

1. E-mail Notifications

The most popular way to start receiving a campaign's messages is to send an email to its address (to YourCampaignName@GetResponse.com). While most people will send a simple blank e-mail, some may ask questions that require your attention. With GetResponse you can have those email automatically forwarded to you. Simply enter your email address into the box provided on the "General" site, select 'Forward email subscriptions' and click on 'Save Settings'. You can also be notified about each web subscription, select 'Forward web subscriptions' to activate it.

2. Reports

GetResponse can automatically e-mail you the list of recently added subscribers. The e-mail report will contain subscribers' names, email addresses and REF tracking numbers. You may choose to receive this report daily or weekly so you can check your account activity without having to log in. Reports will be delivered to the email address you provide on the "General" site.

3. Preload

If you allow pre-load without authorization, anyone can preload their account with messages saved in your campaign. Otherwise, this will not be possible unless they know your password.

4. Signature

You may use a signature in your messages by entering [[sig]] as a merge word. This is useful if you want to use the same text throughout your messages. If you want to change it, simply change your signature within campaign's general settings - you don't have to change each message.

5. Postal Address

The CAN-SPAM law requires that the "sender of the email", (i.e., whoever is named in the "From" field), shall provide a physical postal address within the content of the message. GetResponse provides a field within the settings for each campaign, requiring ALL users to enter a valid and accurate postal address. This postal address will appear in the footer of your emails, and may change from campaign to campaign in the event that the "sender" changes. GetResponse will be monitoring all outgoing campaigns to ensure that a valid postal address is present.

6. Change Campaign Name

If you wish to change your campaign name please enter the new name into the box provided and click "Change".
